Frequently Asked Questions

Why does FabricPlate need camera access?

FabricPlate uses your camera to scan fabric labels and photograph fabric samples. This lets you quickly add fabrics to your library by capturing label details and attach high-quality photos to each fabric record. You can deny camera access and still use the platform — you’ll just need to enter fabric details manually and upload photos from your device.

How do I reset my password?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email address. You’ll receive a link to create a new password. If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder or contact us for help.

Can I use FabricPlate on both mobile and desktop?

Yes. FabricPlate works as a web app on any desktop browser and is also available as a mobile app for iOS and Android. Your data syncs automatically across all devices.

How do I invite team members?

Go to your account settings and select "Team." From there you can invite colleagues by email. They’ll join your tenant automatically and share access to your fabric library, meetings, and selections.

What happens if I reach my plan’s fabric limit?

You’ll still be able to view and manage your existing fabrics, but you won’t be able to add new ones until you upgrade your plan or remove some entries. Your data is never deleted.

Is my data secure?

Yes. FabricPlate uses industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. We host on Supabase with SOC 2 compliance, and payments are processed securely through Stripe. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
